In a professional services company, leaders need to connect their expertise with people development and shared organisational direction. The challenge was to strengthen leadership that helps people understand goals, contribute their knowledge and build capabilities for the future. Collaboration and knowledge transfer between generations were also important.
The comprehensive academy connected core leadership skills: one-to-ones, goal-based leadership, feedback, delegation, motivation and difficult conversations. The wider development process also covered a shared vision and desired culture. Time organisation supported leaders and teams in focusing on important development and business priorities.

DEVELOPMENT IN PRACTICE
The report documents a jointly developed company vision and work on the desired culture. Commitments with named owners were also agreed to support more focused work. These conclusions gave leadership skills development a common framework: supporting the company's direction through relationships, goals and accountability.
Recommended follow-up included reinforcing leadership skills through individual coaching and paired work. The aim was to bring learning into regular leadership conversations, people development and agreement reviews, supported by more effective meetings and planning of important tasks.
